Meet Jeremy J. Petersen
Jeremy J. Petersen is the Founder, President, and CEO of Identity Pet Nutrition, a Colorado-based family-owned company redefining premium pet food with transparency, integrity, and innovation.
Born and raised in rural Weld County, Colorado, Jeremy’s deep agricultural roots and entrepreneurial drive have shaped a career devoted to responsible growth and industry change. A University of Michigan graduate and 2015 Pet Age 40 Under 40 honoree, he has founded and led three pet food companies before age 30.
At Identity Pet Nutrition, Jeremy focuses on finance, formulation, branding, and customer experience, driving a mission to create the first closed-loop pet food company. Fiercely independent, he operates without private equity to ensure ownership, quality, and long-term sustainability.
A visionary advocate for small business, Jeremy actively proposes initiatives to fund young entrepreneurs and reform outdated systems that hinder innovation. His leadership blends passion with purpose — believing that business can be a force for good when grounded in integrity.
Outside of work, Jeremy is a private pilot, investor, foodie, and avid sports fan (Go Blue!).
